Sweden – Day #2
July 27th, 2007 | by fredrik.eriksson |Trek woke up wide awake at 1 o’clock this morning and was “starving hungry.” After a midnight snack, some play and book reading, he was ready for bed again and slept for another six hour straight. All in all a good start.
In the afternoon, Trek, Farmor and I went mushroom hunting. We found some chantrelles but our expedition was cut short when thunder and lightning came rolling in. Things got a bit hairy when the roaring sound of thunder followed a lightning by a mere tenth of a second. That was too close for comfort and we were all relieved when we got back to the car, albeit very wet.
Trek made a new friend this morning when Andreas (Adde) from the house next door came over to play. It didn’t take long for them to discover common interests, such as knights, swords, bows and arrows and just being noisy. It was great to see them play together. Trek still speaks only English but seems to understand everything Adde says.
In the evening, I went to Kil to pick up Coffe at the train station. Like always, Trek was a little shy at first but was soon playing away with the toy airplane Coffe brought him.
